Why This Formulation
System 1
Blood Flow

L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 at 9,000mg. The 2:1 ratio delivers 6g of active L-citrulline and 3g of malic acid. Citrulline converts to arginine in the kidneys, driving nitric oxide production and vasodilation. That's the blood flow and the pump during training.

6g of L-citrulline is the dose used in published trials to demonstrate improved O2 uptake kinetics and high-intensity exercise performance. The malic acid component supports ATP production through the Krebs cycle, which is why we use the malate form instead of pure citrulline.

System 2
Muscular Endurance

Beta Alanine at 3,200mg. Beta alanine is a precursor to carnosine, which buffers hydrogen ions in muscle tissue during high-intensity work. That's what delays the burn during heavy sets and extends your working capacity.

3.2g/day is a well-studied dose shown to increase intramuscular carnosine concentrations and improve exercise performance. This is a loading ingredient, so the endurance benefit builds over 2-4 weeks of consistent use as carnosine levels accumulate. The tingling sensation some people feel (paresthesia) is normal, harmless, and temporary.

System 3
Power Output

Betaine Anhydrous at 2,500mg. Betaine (trimethylglycine) supports force production and power output during resistance training. 2.5g is the clinical dose demonstrated in published research to improve body composition and strength performance over a 6-week training period. It also acts as an osmolyte, supporting cellular hydration under stress.

System 4
Focus & Energy

Caffeine Anhydrous (250mg) + L-Theanine (200mg) + N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (1,000mg). These three work as a system, not as standalone ingredients that happen to be in the same scoop.

Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors and reduces perceived exertion during training. L-theanine promotes alpha brain wave activity, and published research on the caffeine-theanine combination demonstrated improved cognitive performance and attention compared to caffeine alone. 250mg caffeine is a deliberate choice for meaningful performance without the anxiety that 300-400mg doses create in most people.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine is a precursor to dopamine and norepinephrine, supporting cognitive performance under the physiological stress of training. The NALT form was chosen for better solubility in the powder.

System 5
Hydration

L-Taurine (1,000mg) + full electrolyte panel. Taurine acts as an osmoregulator, helping cells maintain proper hydration during training. A meta-analysis of ten studies found that taurine supplementation at 1-6g improved overall endurance performance. The electrolyte panel delivers 500mg sodium, 535mg chloride, 200mg potassium, and 75mg magnesium.

Most pre-workouts either skip electrolytes entirely or include a negligible amount for the label claim. This is a full hydration system built for people who actually sweat during training. Magnesium is in the citrate form because it absorbs significantly better than the oxide form used in cheaper formulations. Sodium is sourced from sodium citrate and Himalayan pink salt.

Adaptogenic Endurance
PeakO2® Mushroom Blend

2,000mg of a six-mushroom adaptogenic blend including Cordyceps militaris, Reishi, King Trumpet, Shiitake, Lion's Mane, and Turkey Tail. Published research on a Cordyceps-based mushroom blend demonstrated improvements in VO2max (+4.8 ml/kg/min) and time to exhaustion (+70 seconds) after three weeks of consistent supplementation at 4g/day.

IGNITE includes 2g per serving. The studied dose was 4g, but mushroom extracts at that concentration create significant palatability issues in a flavored powder, and a pre-workout you won't drink doesn't help your training. 2g balances adaptogenic support with a formula that actually tastes good. Like beta alanine, PeakO2 is a cumulative ingredient and the benefit compounds with consistent daily use.

How to Use
Serving

One scoop (24.1g) mixed with 8-12 oz cold water.

Timing

20-30 minutes before training. Empty stomach or lightly fed for best absorption.

First Time

Start with half a scoop to assess tolerance. 250mg caffeine is moderate but meaningful.

Dosing

One scoop is the full dose. Don't double-scoop. More is not better, it's just more expensive.

What to Expect

Session one: Blood flow, pump, and focus improvements are noticeable immediately. These are acute effects from citrulline, caffeine, theanine, and tyrosine working at the doses on the label.

Weeks 2-4: The endurance benefit from beta alanine builds as intramuscular carnosine levels increase through daily loading. PeakO2's adaptogenic effects also compound with consistent use. If endurance hasn't changed dramatically in week one, that's expected. Give it time.
