Most multivitamins use folic acid, cyanocobalamin, and pyridoxine HCL. These are the cheapest forms of B9, B12, and B6. They work for some people, but they all require your body to convert them into their active forms before they can be used. If that conversion is slow or incomplete, the vitamin is on the label but it's not doing what you think it's doing.
This formula uses Quatrefolic® (L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate) instead of folic acid, methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin, pyridoxal-5-phosphate instead of pyridoxine, and riboflavin-5-phosphate instead of standard riboflavin. These are the forms your body actually uses at the cellular level. No conversion required.
This matters especially for the estimated 30-40% of people who carry MTHFR gene variants that reduce the efficiency of folate conversion. 5-MTHF bypasses that bottleneck entirely and avoids the accumulation of unmetabolized folic acid that can occur with synthetic supplementation.
View Research: Active Folate vs Folic Acid in Human Health (Carboni 2022) →Vitamin D is included as D3 (cholecalciferol), not D2 (ergocalciferol). A systematic review and meta-analysis of 20 studies found that D3 raises serum 25(OH)D concentrations approximately 40% more effectively than D2 at the same dose. D3 is the form your skin produces from sunlight and the form that maintains blood levels most efficiently over time.
Vitamin K2 is included as MK-7 (menaquinone-7), not K1 or MK-4. A clinical trial comparing MK-7 and MK-4 bioavailability found that MK-7 reached peak serum levels at 6 hours and remained detectable for 48 hours after a single dose. MK-4 at the same dose produced no detectable serum levels at any time point across all subjects. K2 as MK-7 supports calcium metabolism, directing calcium toward bone tissue rather than arterial walls.
Vitamin E is included as d-alpha tocopherol with mixed tocopherols, the natural form. Most cheap multivitamins use dl-alpha tocopherol, the synthetic version, which includes molecular forms your body doesn't preferentially use.

The mineral forms in most multivitamins are oxides and carbonates. Magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, chromium chloride. These are inexpensive to manufacture but have lower absorption rates because your body has to work harder to break them down and pull the mineral out.
This formula uses Aquamin® marine algae as the source for zinc, providing a plant-based, whole-food mineral matrix. Selenium is included as L-selenomethionine, the organic form that integrates into proteins the same way dietary selenium from food does. Chromium is included as chromium picolinate, bound to picolinic acid for improved uptake. Potassium is sourced from Utah mineral salt, a naturally occurring mineral deposit.
The difference between a mineral on the label and a mineral your body absorbs comes down to the form. That's why the form is printed right next to every mineral on the supplement facts panel.
Beyond the vitamin and mineral foundation, this formula includes targeted compounds that most basic multivitamins leave out entirely.
Choline is delivered as Alpha GPC, a phospholipid form that crosses the blood-brain barrier and supports acetylcholine production for cognitive function and memory. Lutein is a carotenoid that accumulates in the macula of the eye and supports long-term visual health, especially under blue light exposure from screens. CoQ10 (ubiquinone) is a coenzyme involved in mitochondrial ATP production, supporting cellular energy across every tissue in your body. Astaxanthin is one of the most potent naturally occurring antioxidants, with a molecular structure that spans the full width of the cell membrane for protection against oxidative stress. Lycopene provides additional antioxidant support with particular affinity for cardiovascular and prostate tissue.
These aren't marketing additions. Each one has a functional role backed by published research and is included at a dose that reflects what the literature actually supports.
Every ingredient in this formula was chosen for its bioactive form, but form alone doesn't guarantee absorption. BioPerine® (piperine from black pepper extract) is included specifically to enhance the bioavailability of the other nutrients in the formula.
Published research shows that piperine co-administered with vitamins and minerals improves their absorption by increasing gastrointestinal blood flow and modulating intestinal membrane permeability. Studies have demonstrated increased absorption rates of 30-60% for nutrients including CoQ10, beta-carotene, and vitamin B6 when taken alongside piperine.
Choosing bioactive forms and then including an absorption enhancer is how you build a multivitamin that actually delivers what the label says.

3 capsules daily.
Take with a meal that contains fat. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K2) absorb significantly better when taken with dietary fat.
Daily use builds and maintains tissue levels over time. The benefits of a multivitamin come from consistent intake, not single doses.
Can be taken alongside Anvil Creatine Monohydrate and IGNITE Pre-Workout. No ingredient overlap that would exceed safe upper limits at recommended doses.
Manufactured in a GMP certified facility for Anvil Nutrition LLC. Third-party batch tested for purity and potency. Full testing results available on the Research & Testing page.
